JNW Mission
WE STAND FOR:
- Genuine sovereignty for the Filipino people
- Justice and peace in the Philippines based on genuine economic
and social reforms that serve the needs of the Filipino people
- Solidarity with peoples facing US military intervention
WE STAND AGAINST:
- The presence of US troops in the Philippines
- US military aid and bases in the Philippines
- Violations of the human rights of Filipino civilians
- Criminalization and mass murder of progressive Filipinos
- Deportations and racial profiling of immigrants in
the wake of 9/11
- Using women and children as “collateral damage”
Objectives:
- Expose and oppose US military intervention in the Philippines, human
rights violations, and the Philippine leadership’s puppetry to the US
government
- Highlight the Philippine progressive movement’s solidarity with anti-war
activists worldwide
- Build JNW as a place where Filipinos, non-Filipinos, and allies of
other organizations can work together towards the JNW mission
- Build support for the progressive movement in the Phils
